Faceted
blue green chalcedony beads surround the neck,
while a large gray pearl and religious medal (Sanctus
Ludovicus) merge as the focal center. A lone small
gray pearl is a sublime counterpoint. Sterling
silver toggle clasp. Sanctus Ludovicus (latin
for Saint Louis) was King of France (Louis IX)
from 1214 to 1270. The city of St. Louis, Missouri
was named after this saint. He is known as the
patron saint of bridegrooms, sculptors, stone
masons and hairdressers.
